Welcome to the Wednesday Deep Dive and thanks for being here. Chicago is 45-but-feels-like-29 at the moment. The wind keeps knocking the cable wire loose and whips around frantically outside the window like a galloping horse’s mane. I absolutely love this dynamic weather!
I’ve been reading and thinking a lot about the state of the world at the moment and observing the frenetic pace of information in the overculture. I don’t have a strong impulse to write here today. I don’t have a strong impulse to persuade anyone at the moment. I am listening. I am noticing. I am meandering and watching autumn charge towards winter.
Le Piano
This week, I meandered to the same beach I’ve visited several times in Chicago where there is a little cafe that’s only open during the summer. I had my first Chicago dog there and, when it was still open, I had conversations with strangers, often around an old piano.
